Multi-Faith Centre Room Request Form

Thank you for your interest in the University of Toronto’s Multi-faith Centre. Please complete and submit to the Multi-faith Centre. Room reservations are subject to availability and will only be confirmed upon receipt by the Program Coordinator. All students groups requesting weekly space must take part in one Multi-Faith Centre activity such as social justice projects, dialogues, arts events, or an event of their own choosing. External groups will be accommodated at a charge subject to availability and nature of use.

A) Muffin Madness
Muffin Madness is a chance for your faith or ethics based club to host
a chance for social interaction and human connection. The Multi-Faith Centre
provides the muffins, tea, coffee, and juice. Clubs are asked to bring 3 members out to socialize. Each week two groups host. Click here to see the schedule.

Community Service Projects
The following activities will provide an opportunity for student leaders to put faith in action.
      1)      Youth Drop-In Night
 
Jan 27th, assist with youth-drop in night at Yonge Street Mission. Young people from all over the city will be coming to Yonge Street Mission to be served a meal by our volunteer group and enjoy some games and activities throughout the night that we will have prepared for them
  
      2)      Art Exhibition and Silent Auction: A New Year- A New Hope.
 
An evening of art appreciation and interfaith dialogue in support of malaria research. All proceeds from the event will go towards malaria research projects of Dr. Kevin Kain at the University of Toronto. Date to be Announced
 
      3)       Seniors Lunch

Join a Multi-Faith team to prepare a lunch at Ronald McDonald House or another downtown     social service agency to support visitors from our of town visiting ill relatives or addressing other social needs. Date to be Announced

4)      Alternative Reading Week

Join the Multi-Faith teams during Alternative Reading Week Feb 21-23 to address social challenges in the Mount Dennis neighbourhood of Toronto. Projects include sports activities with children, crafts with seniors and working with local religious communities amongst others.

5) Walk with the Homeless

Walk the streets of Toronto with a guide who was formerly homeless.
A chance to reflect on poverty, and social justice by walking the streets and reflecting.
